I am a seventeen year old girl. I life in New Hampshire, but the Vermont border is like five minutes away.
I am trying to decide if I should join the snowboard team at Killington (VT), Okemo (VT) or Loon. (NH) I worked for Killington last year as an instructor. It's about an hour away. Okemo is just over an hour, and Loon is like an hour and a half, two hours. I THINK if I go to Loon, I have a better chance at going to Nationals (my goal this season) but it is farther. The Southern Vermont series is really competitive, I guess. Right now I'm leaning towards Okemo, but Killington is basically my home mountain. I don't know which program is best! How should I choose? |

I'm no expert but I would think Loon would be the best choice given your goal for Nationals and the more competitive atmosphere you mentioned. The extra drive might be worth it.
You might want to post your question in another sub-form (General Chat?) so it gets more exposure from people with more knowledge and experience in competing and the industry. RoxyHoney is a new member and rides for Gnu as an amateur. Perhaps she has good advice for you. Best of luck! |
