Quoting Whistler Blackcomb straight from facebook:
"It's still snowing....The alpine forecast is calling for 105cm by Wednesday!!!"

Not trying to rub it in, more just motivation.

I used to surf quite a bit and live 10min drive from the beach, not no more. I know what it's like when things ain't ideal!

I think what made it even worse this year was pre-stoke caused by the epic late-October snow storms. Made for some fun riding which got me into winter-mode too early. This warm weather streak is unreal. Three weeks ago I was shoveling my driveway and scraping my car, yesterday I was doing yardwork in short sleeves. My home mountain is supposed to open Friday, I think that is pretty unlikely.

just saw the weather and they are claiming a good portion of northern new england will get a foot or more tomorrow. i hope they are right and this is the turning point where it stays cold up there. im ready for the season to start, i dont want to be dealing with this preseason shit into mid december.

Saw this too. Looks good until you keep reading and the forcast bumps back up into the 50's for next weekend in most places . I just hope it's wrong and some random cold front comes through and we get dumped on! ( of course when I say we I'm speaking about the mountains not NJ where it's 60  I gave up on my home turf)

the weather has definitely been frustrating here in NY so far, but if my fellow boarders remember, last year's epic season didn't really get going until fairly late. i was up at Mt. Snow for New Year's last year and there were bare patches all over the mountain, slush, etc.

it wasn't until mid-January where things really picked up and it was effin glorious after that.

all we can do for now is sit tight and do the snow dance.

Thats the thing they get it out there for sure. Over here, I normally wouldnt really be riding until mid december for the most part. two years ago was november start...funny, with all that early snow we got the mountain staff was still slow in opening the place. Ohhh it was great poaching for sure...

But you know what I would like to see this winter...a long one where we have snow in march to the end...last year was our 4th snowiest on record...but it was gone by march 10:laugh: year before first week of March...I guess I could go to vermont for sure...I may....

But I get greedy. I want quality snow. I wouldnt expect that right now....Doesnt look like Lake effect is going to be a big deal...that being said, conditions right we have 3 feet on the ground by Friday...Aint gonna happen

But dont worry guys snow will get here. You just have to take advantage of it when it hits...then its all good..

I would say its time to get the gear ready...

Your post are so positive I need your outlook on snow and then maybe I wont feel so anxious.

 you will get that positive outlook once you get old like me and have been thru all these winters around here..

but it will get here its just a matter of how, where locally and when...All these weather factors sure they play into it...but mother nature doesnt care much about our forecasting methods..

For now...lets make our own winter and then soon enough..

This was 4 years ago(click the image for vid)I remember it was warm two weeks prior...
You think these images make it easier to wait???
