I was wondering if they would have decent boards there. I was buying a board tonight but getting it full price and won't get free lift tickets (buying it from a local shop)... So not sure what type of boards they have if someone can give everyone a run down that would be awesome... but from the ones on the site promoting the event it seems the gear will be begginer stuff from last year?

Ive been the last several years. Take a look at there outlet section on the stores website. thats mostly what they will have. From my experience its all old stuff from last year and older.

The thing is tho that many shops including Mt Everest will give you a free lift ticket.

Last time i checked Everest will give you a free lift ticket to Mt Creek with a new board plus a free tune card. Plus there willing to slightly negotiate also. I got them to take off 10% and give me 2 free lift tickets when i bought a brand new Lib but i am very good at negotiating, i wouldent count on them doing it again. But i am willing to bet u could get them to throw in an extra pass to Mt Creek if you negotiate. There good people there

Also Pelican by me will give you a free lift ticket also that works at several resorts.

Make sure you ask about both these as they may not give them unless u ask. You can always call first also

So I went yesterday. I was impressed by how well it was organized and presented. I half expected it to be a large room with everything laid out in a flea market-esque way like bins and tables. But it was really well done. I didn't look through everything but noticed discounts from 15%-60%.

It meandered through different rooms. The resorts were in the first section and some had show deals on lift tix and/or packages. The Outerwear and gear areas were next, each in their own section. Towards the end there were a few more resorts and accessories like gloves and knit hats.

There was quality stuff; so even if it was last season's, it wasn't all crap.

Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for things like accessories or resort deals. If you're looking for specific hard goods, it might be hit or miss.

The staff was present, friendly, and all very helpful.

I was there first day, not sure if they ever change their inventory since then, but everything I saw seemed just okay. The snowboards were pretty much only discounted if you got a package deal including bindings and boots, and they didn't have that broad of a selection. I went after seeing the ad and seeing that Arbor would be represented and hoped to find a deal on last year's Westmark or something, but no such luck.

From memory the ones that stuck out that I saw were: K2 Rayguns, Forum Double dogs, Forum Destroyers, Lib tech Bananas and Skate Bananas, C2TXs. Those were the only boards I saw that stuck out to me, but maybe you'll have better luck.

There were also a slew of goggles, I'm a goggle whore so I noticed that they had a couple Oakley goggles A-frame Shaun Whites for like 80 bucks all with Persimmon lenses and the red colorway, they also had the Tanner's and a few Crowbars with jacked up lenses. Northface gear seemed to be 15% off across the board, though there were some jackets from Oakley which were more heavily discounted but not for those wanting heavy protection. Lots of Spyder stuff, and pants seemed to run about a bill each even after 50% discount. They also bags had like 8 different snowboard bags from Dakine and Burton for the travelers. I saw a lot of people grabbing helmets so maybe they were running cheap and they featured an entire hall full of different ones though they were all piled up on the floor. A couple of K2, Ride and Flow boots and/or binders were right near the snowboards.

Seemed like a good place to pick up some deals on lift tickets though, triple play cards from almost every local mountain and the Hunter card with 2 free lift tickets for 89 bucks was pretty legit.

Maybe they have more stuff but I didn't see a reason to stand in the huge line that almost ran through the entire place from the cash register to the entrance. Good luck to everyone there and I hope you get something nice and maybe my okay experience was simply from first day crowds. I will say it seemed bigger than last year's event.
