I was just browsing through Liftopia and Plattekill has a deal on there to rent the whole mountain for $3,000 per day. I didn't think it would be that inexpensive to rent it for the whole day and I don't know how good the mountain is since I've never been but still thats pretty awesome. Any chance we can get 80-100 people to sign up?

At 100 ppl the $2,500 works out to $25/person.

Not a great hill... but to own it... no skiers. No beginner lessons. This is quite tempting. Keep us informed!

I'd absolutely sign up.

I made it out to Plattekill 3 or 4 times last year. It's a family type of hill, not that much acreage but it has some good steeps.

This seems suspiciously cheap. But also incredibly tempting.

I can probably get at least 6 people and as many as 10. I'll put this up on the general meets too, if there is enough interest it would be awesome to coordinate something like this. It would be a logistical nightmare but renting a mountain for the day sounds great.

I would even do it if we only got fewer than 100...

60 people: $50pp
70 people: $43pp
80 people: $37.5pp
90 people: $34pp
100 people: $30pp

rather than do it through Liftopia one could go straight through Plattekill -- Plattekill Mountain - Catskills Skiing in Roxbury, NY - Groups and do it for $2,500 for up to 250 ppl.

That's only Mon-Thurs non-holiday but still.

I think that'd have to be on a week end, I highly doubt you could get 100 people to take a day off for that.
