A little about myself

I am a 26 year old male. I used to snowboard a lot when I was younger but then only went about three times from 2000-2008 while I was in high school and college. I was very busy with other sports during this time period and unfortunately did not have the time for snowboarding on a consistent basis. Also, I went to school in Maryland so there were not too many mountains in the region.

Last year in November of 2010 I decided I wanted to get back into snowboarding. At the time I had a Burton snowboard that I bought in 2004, it was a Wide board and I can not remember the name of it. It was a 168W and was extremely stiff. I had very old bindings on the board that I could not crank to or unlock the ratchet so they were useless and I did not have boots.

Since I decided to get back into snowboarding I figured my board was fine and I decided to order boots and bindings. I ordered a Boot/Binding Package off of The-house.com which consisted of 2009-2010 ThirtyTwo Lashed boots and 2010 Burton Mission Binding.

I was extremely happy with the boot/binding package. Especially the fact I was able to mold the boots to my feet.

I ended up getting hooked back into snowboarding. I started hitting up the park for the first time in my life and by the end of the season I was hitting the biggest jumps at Mountain creek in NJ. Mountain Creek has some pretty hardcore contests and a sick park so I was very surprised about how much I advanced in one season. I also ended up buying a new snowboard in the beginning of January. I got a K2 Park Star, 157W.

I will start the 2011-2012 journal in my next post. Please reply with questions or comments.

Since I myself have recently found out about this feature, I will share it with you. Snowboardingforum.com has it's own blog function. On the right of the page there is a link that says blogs. Follow it. From there you can go to your own blog and type away. :)
