I was thinking of going tomorrow but got an email that they made monday 50% off day with the big lift card so I'll be there monday. Let us know how it is, last time I was there was last Friday and it was pretty bad so I hope its better by now.

I'm right now at Camelback and it is not worth coming if you want to snowboard not enough snow most trails is still open and it was crowded at times. during the day snow is slashy than at night freezes a bit over making you wish you had ice-skates with you, not even my gnu pickle with magna works with it

I was at camelback as well today. The nile mile was actually pretty good early in the morning until more people start showing up. Some other trails werent in as good of a shape. Some trails I can even see patches of grass in the middle of the trail, nothing CB can do due to the 50 degree weather. But overall, it was pleasant.

soooo I was at hunter yesterday with 2 friends. It was fun I guess. There were many icy spots to be honest but if you know your way around them, then they create no problem.

As far as the quality of the snow: because of the weather beeing around 40 degrees yesterday, it was kinda mushy. It was definitely not watery tho. Being mushy kinda made it easier to snowboard imo. It's at least better than packed icy conditions.

We pretty much did every trail, from blue runs to double diamonds, and it didn't give us any hard time. We go to hunter often and it's mostly icy so it's not fun most of the time. This time tho, it was fun for us.. Like the others said, there were some deathtraps like bumps but it just made it more challenging and fun for me.

I agree it was a pretty good day at Hunter yesterday. The conditions were less than ideal for boarding but the temperatures made for a good day to be on the snow. The line for the Flyer was as expected (Looked like about a 20 minute wait to me) so me and my buddy took all the other routes, going from D lift to F to west side. I was just happy to finally be able to take my Proto out again without being worried about splitting the board on rocks.

I was going to hit up hunter but decided to do camelback instead as I had to make it to a concert last night in the city and camelback is a much quicker trip for me. It was like a spring day of riding with less snow and not as many trails open.

I got up there and on the snow early and it was pretty nice though a few sketchy spots in the shade. As the day wore on it softened up but wasn't terrible.. was very happy I waxed Friday night. Started to get a bit too mashy for me around 1 and I had been lapping without much of a break, so I took that as my cue to leave. Was a fun morning/early afternoon into a great night in NYC... So all in all a good day though it sure as hell didn't feel like January!!

Yeah Saturday at hunter was pretty much as stated above.. I used my new board and had no trouble got a few scratches but nothing bad. Today it was an ice cube I guess everything froze last night. Not a big deal to me loved being on the new board. My gf fell on some ice pretty hard so we left early but overall great weekend considering what the weather has been like. Hunter is really doing great stuff with what they got.

I was at Camelback Saturday and saw some kid dangling on the Sullivan chair lift for what seemed like forever. The crew tried to reverse the lift but it was slow moving. He couldn't hold on and fell.

When we got on the lift to go up, we saw he landed onto the Honeymoon trail and appeared unconscious. Crazy sight.
