Seriously what is the deal with this weather? it was over 50* here yesterday and POURED down rain. I know Tussey is crap but it's 10 min door to door from my house and they might as well have nothing as the Utah is now barely a strip of white on it. They will have to start from scratch but we need some temps below freezing...at night at least?

Knowing that EVERYWHERE charges holiday rates all week next week...is there any place worth a 3 hour drive from the middle of PA?

:(:(:(

ya this is a pretty depressing start. Im in North Central WV here, got a day in at Snowshoe on Monday not much open but enough to have fun with and little park run with a box 2 rails and a small kicker. Kept us busy from open to close, but I'd like the closer to home resorts to start opening up.

Well the temps are more seasonable today...I suppose. Currently 38* with the forecasted high to be 37* (These guys are wizards)...90% chance of heavy rain...we are supposed to get another inch of rain today and then more this evening before it changes to snow...with no significant accumulation.

I'm getting sick of this...everywhere I have checked has been less than 50% open and charging full holiday pricing. BOOO!!!

Well finally a few days of cold weather and it looks like Tussey Mtn is going to open tomorrow...two slopes. :(

A friend of mine is a long time meteorologist (or maybe it's astrologist I can never tell them apart :D ) and he is saying it is about to warm up again and stay that way. Said we are n for a repeat of 2001-2002...which quite honestly I don't remember because my son was just born and I wasn't boarding at the time.

Well that's why I have a seaon pass. Made my first runs of the year today...can barely say runs because I pnly made two. Too many people...too little snow...and it started raining. I bet the conditions first thing this morning were sweet but I couldn't get out until like 1:40 and it was packed and very brown looking. Took two runs and said F it. My son did five runs.

Eh at least we got our pass photos out of the way...it will be quicker to get on the snow next time.

Well it hit 55* for the second day in a row. We went out today and got some good runs in. My son is once again the only snowboarder in the Saturday clinic so he will get 4 hours of private lessons for the next 6 weeks at the low low cost of $170. Got my daughter out on the slopes as well for the first time today...she is on skis though.
