its a Ride DH2 from 2007, matte black top with orange burton cartel bindings.
old pic without stickers

various tickers are on it now from bean, dogfunk, steez mag.

Thanks for reading guys.

edit: oh and my buddy board is a burton hero from last year. ill see if he has pictures. he just got the board so i dont think so.

My brother and I just had our first experience this past Sunday with this. We were at a resort and left our boards in the racks in front of the lodge while getting something to eat...we went back outside and his GNU was gone. We reported it but it turns out 4 other boards were stolen that day. I definitely would love to find out who did it, but you just feel so helpless, you know?

Board theft is so low. My bro and I have season passes, and worked for everything we own. At least he got to snowboard his last day with it before it was stolen, though. Sorry to hear your story. Make sure to report it to the police with identifiable marks, because they usually stay in touch with what's going on at pawn shops, etc.

I know exactly how you feel. Seems pay your age is a spree day for thieves.

I just don't get why so many people don't lock their boards up no matter how long they are leaving it unattended. Serious advice here, call me an ass or whatever, but I'm really trying to reason with you guys...

You have invested money in this sport. That money is likely not chump change for most of you (it isn't for me for sure). A board lock costs less than $20. Maybe a little more if you go out and get a legit chain lock or something. But keep in mind, even the most generic board lock is enough of a deterrent to a board thief. There are tons of unlocked boards lying around so why would they other clipping yours? Even then, it's not too much trouble to get a bike lock or something more legit.

It takes all but a minute to lock your board up. This minute provides much better security for your investment. Would you leave even a dollar bill on a table while you use the bathroom? Probably not. So why leave your gear that probably set you back $200+? Sure, the dollar bill is easily stuffed into your pocket. Just like a board is easily locked. You do not even have to carry the lock around with you. Choose a convenient spot, and just lock the chain up to the rack when not in use. Come back to it.

I hope you find your board buddy. If you lived by me, I'd lend you a board meanwhile. But play it safe next time and protect your investment. Your time is much more wasted when your setup is stolen compared to the time spent securing it.
You're not an ass. You're totally right. I had a small burton cable lock. Wish I used it. Obviously learned a good lesson. Get a good bike lock and never leave unattended.

LOL, I honestly want to ask someone who has a really nice board to leave on the rack, i jsut wanna sit outside and wait for someone to stela beat the living shit outta them.

I was at Camelback in PA last weekend, first time, and left my board on a rack only about 20 feet from where I was standing. I was already sketched being in a place I was unfamiliar with, so I was keeping a close eye on my ride. I spoke to a tech outside a shop for a minute... saw someone pick up my board... I ran over --> literally READY TO KILL --> almost dropkicked the kid, then I realized he was wearing ski boots... and was just moving my board to get to his skis...

I am really lucky I didn't drop that kid and stab him with a ski pole... would have been my first AND last time at Camelback...
Yeah at Mt. Snow I found the same board with orange bindings and i thought i found and was about to punch the kid who had...but the i noticed it was a 155 not a 151. Close call. lol

Our small, small hills around here have legit board checks. They too chill in a shack, but the boards are fenced off. It's easy to step into this area yes, but very, very obvious if someone chooses to do that.

I would hope you guys that are spaghetti monster blessed with bigger resorts have a just as legit board check area.

The number of times I've heard of someone actually catching the thief with their board is far far fewer than the number of times I've heard "I just stepped inside to...."

I'll bet most of the thieves just move it to a rack around the corner or throw it behind a snowbank (or take it to board check) 10 seconds later and you'll never find it or them.

I can't count the number of times I've checked out a board leaning against the wall because it was a newer model than mine or had different graphics (I don't touch) and nobody came racing out of the lodge to confront me. Or lit a smoke, watched someone place their board against the wall and then watched them work their way thru the lodge to get their chili cheese fries. I usually can finish my smoke before they're in sight of their board again. Hell, takes me enough time to spot my board thru the windows when I first sit down.

Man that sucks! When I started riding in the early 90's I saw someone drive up, walk to a board rack, take a board and leave. I was 11 or so at the time and didn't know he was stealing, then the kid comes back out of the chalet and says his board is gone!

Nevertheless I've locked up my board for the last 17+ years. Even if I'm just heading in to take a leak. If it leaves my sign it's locked. Call me paranoid but it's just too easy for assholes to steal shit and walk away.

Watch craigslist, kijiji, ebay, etc. I had a car stereo stolen about 10 years ago and checked everywhere but it never turned up. Good luck cross your fingers! :)

I live in Northern VA and if you somehow make it down here I will GIVE you my old 156 Tempest and a set of older Flux bindings for free.
Thank you two for being so generous. As much as i would love a board to use for right now, iI can't accept. mainly cuz i already returned the pass and lost the love for snowboarding this season. But thanks!

This is right. Sucks that you got your shit stolen, take the generosity thats been offered to you on here, buy a lock (so you dont lose someone elses shit for them), and go ride. Yes there sre some absolute mongrels about, but dont let them take away the will to ride.

To quote Braveheart: "They may take away our snowboards, but they can't take away our freedom" ...that movie was a crock of shit anyway...

That blows, sucks people are such a**holes anymore..

I had a board stolen from me @ Keystone once, and it was a old beat up NS Evo with even older bindings on it, I don't even think I could of sold it for fifty dollars, haha.

I tried a lock for awhile, but I hated using it.
