wow dude are you serious? you saw him like 4 lift rides, that's like 1+ hours!! wow where was he exactly? and how come nobody reported this for all that time

Yah - keep in mind I ride West (minimal lift lines) and I ride fast so more like 40 mins. He was also on a closed trail...

First chair: guy down and friend calling to chairlift to get help; Second Chair: Guy still down, no help yet, ski patrol mobilizing; Third chair: First ski patrol person trying to assess the situation; guy still down and barely moving but thought he could speak; other ski patrol on the way; Fourth Chair: full team of ski patrol huddled around the guy, maybe 8 of them, equipped with an sled that had a big yellow airbag attached to it. I thought they would heli-lift him from there but by the 5th chair they were gone. Not sure how they got him out. I was hoping he just had a concussion or something but not paralyzed. I saw more of that scene than I wanted to and funny thing was I was about to try that closed trail myself right before this happened.

Of course, once they left, one or two more folks tried it...

i don't usually ride on the west since that's a beginner's place, I did my fair share last year

but this next week let me see what you're talking about...

The kid fell on Westway, which has been mostly closed all season. Definitely "go west" if you're looking for less crowds.

right right hunter one, these names... west is all about the diamonds, i don't remember ever being there i am usually go all the way up and choose the belt parkway, or sometimes thru the park the longest way down but will push it to west this weekend.
they usually close trails if there aren't enough snow on the ground or when it's too icey i think

Definitely check it out, well worth it for the technical experience but make sure your edges are as sharp if possible as there can be icy spots. I think it is the least crowded spot on the mountain and coupled to short lift lines that alone can be a good thing. Let us know what you think.

No crowds, no beginners, high speed lift.

Around noontime when everyone goes get lunch, I'll go back to the main part of Hunter, but Hunter West is the place to be when its crowded.

I'll do Hunter One to practice switch and not look stupid since no one else there can snowboard yet.

haha yea i agree with that, I go to hunter one sometimes to practice things that I wanna do on blue or blacks, spend usually an hour sometimes people looking at me like what are you doing here
last week spent some time there on my switches still couldn't get it done
