Went last weekend. Not to bad saturday was pretty good considering the weather we've had and sunday got a little sketchy because all the snow froze and it became an Ice rink. But all in all not bad. Even used my new board and only ended up with cosetice type scrathes nothing that actually broke the surface HAHA.
Hunter is pretty consistent. They blow a ton of snow and beneath that snow is slippery cement also known as ice. The best conditions in my opinion occur when its been cold and they blow a ton of snow or get a big noreaster, then it warms up and the snow is soft.
I went last Friday and that was the case. I was sweating like crazy because it was 45 at the base but it had been in the teens Wed and Thurs so there was plenty of soft snow but of course you got some icy areas and Belt Parkway was like an ice luge barely covered with an inch of fake snow. Everywhere else was pretty decent.
aah last saturday, it was awesome, lot of fresh new powder, lot of moguls tho but on sunday they groomed everything it was freaking awesome... but right now it's raining so fudge next week, which I am off on monday it could get icey (fudge)
Yah, went up on Sat as well albeit a bit late for first chair. I stayed on West which was great, moguls as well and also heard Sunday was awesome as well.
Kinda bummed on Sat as some kid got broke off trying to hit powder on a closed trail and did something bad. His body wasnt moving for at least 4 lift rides until ski patrol took him. Made me think twice about riding tired and I got out of there early. Likely gonna hit it again on Sat. So far, very pleased with Hunter this year.
haha yea i agree with that, I go to hunter one sometimes to practice things that I wanna do on blue or blacks, spend usually an hour sometimes people looking at me like what are you doing here
last week spent some time there on my switches still couldn't get it done
Probably going to Hunter for the zoo this Pres weekend.
