Of course, the season has to go this way -> a major dumpster midweek followed by rain by the weekend it seems. It would make an otherwise newly unemployed guy almost upset...'cept THIS time I'm not at work and hopefully will get to at least the Catskills for Wed/Thursday's dumping.
Anyone riding from NYC to Killington within the week? Right now my sights are set for Hunter but would be interested to know if anyone is hoofing to Killington from the NYC areas. Not really talking about ride sharin'...just pulsing the vibe.

Looking to possibly head out to Hunter on Sat or Sun this week with the gf. Not 100% sure though, going to keep my eye on weather.
Incidently, I normally try to hit Hunter up during the week to avoid the crowds. But, would Sunday be better than Saturday (crowd wise)? Or is it a shit-show regardless? |

Skip hunter go straight to Windham and lap the G chair all day on Wing'n It and Why not all day. I only have weekends to shred otherwise I would be in route to Stratton right now or Windham for day trips. I had many a powder days at Windham mid week and absolutely loved it!! Video Last year with a friend (blue pants) and myself (yellow pants) on a Pow day at Windham |

That video is pretty funny and actually does remind me to consider Windham, but I have an unused Hunter 3X and times are tight. Still the runs at Windham empty are worthwhile and I wonder how the roads up at Hunter will be. Guess that is the best of worries.
Yeah, semi-sh*t show any weekend but if you can stand it, stay around Hunter West for as long as it holds interest. Usually it's the lowest of crowds. Also, if you dont mind dealing with half of the mountain, stay on the top left lift or bottom right lift to avoid the most crowds.

Well that video sold it and yeah, I grew on Windham but found weekends a bit much. It is great when everything is open. Off to pack.
