Best Mountain in the Northeast? - Page 3 - Snowboarding Forum

^^^^^I've went to jay a couple times last season and overall its a great mountain when theres snow, if theres no new snow, and its windy that place will be a skating rink. It's also insanely cold. I've had days there in the -15s and blowing 60 winds. The water park is pretty cool too, but it gets insanely crowded if your there a holiday or vacation. Basically jay is only great when you get pow and minimal winds which rarely happens in the east

I'd vote Stowe, with Jay coming in a close second. I live closer to Killington but prefer Stowe (or jay) - it has longer steeper runs and just feels like a bigger mountain.

I must have horseshoes up my ass then because every time I've been to jay we've had generally very good conditions. And yes the green mountain freezer gets cold but I don't have a vagina so it doesn't bother me!

When it is cold I head for the glades and work up some heat in there. Always had a great time at Jay!

I usually go to Blue Mountain, but also go to Big Boulder, Bear Creek, Camelback, Elk, Jack Frost, Shawnee. Just depends on where everyone else wants to go.

As much as I love a 2hr getaway to PA, their mountains cant be included in the East's best. Camelback a vertical of 800?! Im not hating tho, I got that $200 midweek pass lol

For the East's best, I would say stowe. Classic northeast/new england feel, but can be PRICEY. Jays Glades are second to none. The only better I can remember riding were in tahoe.

U cant beat that price! Hahaha i think i bought it bc im an idiot if k didnt...jfbb is still a sweet spot for me during midweek and no mountain can beat WMMRs day off at the slopes and carboard derby!

It truly is an unbeatable price. I'm torn between camel and windham's midweek pass. Windham's is 290 but pass holders get 50% off tickets to some good ass resorts
