according to their site theyll have some beginner terrain open. if youre dying that badly to go, boulder has been open for a month already, creek is also opening this weekend, hunter has been excellent so far, killington is awesome too

I am 40 miles east in NJ and about the same elevation as camelback's base. We had a pretty significant snow burst in the afternoon that changed over to freezing rain early evening, then rain, back to freezing rain and then a bit of snow on the back end this morning.
I was trying to figure out if it made sense to go today but assumed that they had some rain/freezing rain in the mix and with the crowd that it may not be worth it. I am very leery of that 8 inch total.. would be double what I got here in snow. Also doesn't add up that the only trail they got open (and I use the term trail loosely) was spinhx. Was there yesterday and it was fine but I can't believe they are charging full holiday freight for what they have open. Think I may opt for Hunter tomorrow instead. |
