anyone have an update on exactly what CamelBack's plan is for this Saturday.

i can't take the wait anymore and need to strap in sooooon!

according to their site theyll have some beginner terrain open. if youre dying that badly to go, boulder has been open for a month already, creek is also opening this weekend, hunter has been excellent so far, killington is awesome too

Camelback is going to be closed on Saturday now. blahhh

i think we're going to hit big boulder instead now.

I WILL STRAP IN THIS WEEKEND!!!

I ride Hunter about two weeks ago. A few bare spots and it got rather icy but for early season east coast riding it was hella fun

is it snowing in PA tonight? camelback is saying up to 8 inches on their website. hopefully these mountains can get going finally

I was in PA this evening (south and lower elevation than camelback) and it was pouring rain.

Just checked the cams and it doesn't appear to be snowing. Looks like it did, but not like 8".

If it does end up being 8" overnight, I'm not exactly thrilled the first significant snowfall is happening during a holiday week. It'll be a shitshow.

more like 4".any snow is good snow. only two top to bottom runs sucks tho.

I am 40 miles east in NJ and about the same elevation as camelback's base. We had a pretty significant snow burst in the afternoon that changed over to freezing rain early evening, then rain, back to freezing rain and then a bit of snow on the back end this morning.

I was trying to figure out if it made sense to go today but assumed that they had some rain/freezing rain in the mix and with the crowd that it may not be worth it.

I am very leery of that 8 inch total.. would be double what I got here in snow. Also doesn't add up that the only trail they got open (and I use the term trail loosely) was spinhx. Was there yesterday and it was fine but I can't believe they are charging full holiday freight for what they have open.

Think I may opt for Hunter tomorrow instead.

Webcams shows its pretty crowded for being a weekday @ 5pm. I'd imagine this weekend will be terrible. Probably going to Hunter Sat and Camel on Sun anyway. Maybe JFBB to avoid crowds.
