Wachusett officially opened yesterday. I took a half-day off work and went with my son and his friend. Three trails (Challenger, Ralph's, and Ollie's) were open and they had a few park features (drain pipe, flat-down-flat rail, the usual rainbow, and flat rail) setup on Ralph's. Conditions were a bit icy, but coverage was excellent. We're headed there again this evening, anyone else going?
Well, they've managed to stay open so far, but I'm thinking the rain in the forecast might affect that. Tdn, shoot me a message if you want to meet up sometime to ride, I'm always looking for company. This goes for anyone else too of course. I usually ride with my oldest son (age 11) and sometimes friends of his. We're there mostly nights (4-10p), usually Friday, Saturday, sometimes Sunday. We spend most of our time in lapping the park, but we mix it up and ride the rest of the hill as well. Not to give the wrong impression, I'm not very good at park yet; so far I've stuck to ride-on features, doing 50-50s and pivot zeaches, and I only do straight-airs or 180s on jumps. I'm always down for a few runs with anyone of any ability though.
