They're all blues and blacks, mostly. Depends on the coverage but check out Valhalla and Green Beret. If the Chutes are open go there, earlier the better after a snow. If they've been getting puked on hike out off the backside (there's a gate) to the lower peak. Don't follow the drainage, bank left. You'll have to hitch a ride back to the base. Not a big deal. Then there's a section off the north side, you have to duck a rope, there's a sweet little cliff band to launch off.
If there's no snow it's like any other place and you get stuck babysitting gf.

I like most of the stuff off the flyer, I never spent much time on the other side... I used to come down under the chair, then duck right and enter a great set of glades, then come out at the bottom and traverse left again doing little side hits back to the flyer.
Jay's a really spread out hill, I'm sure you'll find lots for both of you to enjoy. |

87cm in the last 48 hours, and still snowing, I don't think it matters what you do, it'll be pretty damn good! I like Everglade for a nice mellow tree run. With good snow it's so much fun. if you get in it up high it's tight and steep, but you can get in lower where it's more mellow, by the end of it, it's basically a green trail, should make the whole fam happy.

My friends where heading up there in a few weeks from now. I'm the begginer of the group with this being my 2nd season. I can do most basic stuff and they are advanced. Is a waste for a newer rider to make this 7 hour trip? Will I be holding them back to much or will they be bored? I dont want to get killed on any tree runs.

the good thing about jay peak is that there's really only 3 lift areas you can end up, so the chances of getting separated from your group is pretty slim. and the glades run alongside the trails so if you're not comfortable just take those. so no, i don't think it'd be a waste at all
