Powder resorts? - Page 9 - Snowboarding Forum

I found a powder resort for you...they don't groom ANY trails after it dumps(Yes even their greens & blues). Depending on where you are in CT it shouldn't be too far.

Heres a trail map so you can pick out which green powder you want to shred

And who the hell has the money to spend 85 buck and drive 300 miles to go to vermont for a few hours on the slopes? Talk about disposable income. I'm not making 150k a year. Goodbye and good riddance.

THE SKI AREAS AROUND HERE GROOM ALL THE RUNS INCLUDING BLACK AFTER A FRESH SNOWSTORM......SO IT'S A NON POINT. I like powder on a green and blue slope and so do a lot of others. SO? Get over it.

dude, quit your fucking whining. i drive 300 miles round-trip every time i go boarding, lift tickets 65. i work a part-time job and have barely enough money to pay bills. instead of bitching, i'm stoked just to be going. i wake up at 4 in the morning, drive 3 and a half hours, and use my fucking credit card with a smile. because the debt is worth it. if you really wanted better powder, you can make it happen.

also, you really shouldn't say 6 inches is a powder dump. it's not. it's still a lot of fun, but when it's that little... get used to trees. i'm sure most women would agree with me when i say that 6 inches isn't bad... but it's definitely not something to boast about.

Well considering I like to go a few times a week, which is quite normal for any hobby. Explain to me how I could afford 65 bucks a lift ticket and like 50 bucks in gas? That's like 350-400 bucks a week. Nevermind the wear and tear on the vehicle. A car costs 50 cents a mile to run.Then I have to pay rent/car payment/gas/food/insurance/misc expenses ect. It's called being an adult. I don't have money like that. How about someone who has a job working at mcdonalds or walmart(the largest employer in america)? Their lucky if they take home 300 bucks a week. Give me a break. This is considered a "white"(rich man's) sport for a reason. Most resorts are GREEDY. As far as seeing a ton of people from nyc at a resort.....There's a lot of rich yuppies in ny. Ever look at the real estate prices in that city HELLO!! It's a hill with snow on it and a few chair lifts. Give me a break. The big resorts are making a killing with those outrageous lift tickets. One of the worst is jiminy peak. It's a tiny little hill almost to vermont and they charge nearly 70 bucks a lift ticket. Insanity.

I also ride blues as I said 1000 times. I like easier blues for right now and I also enjoy greens. I like cruising. Not sure I'd ever want to ride a lot of blacks. This is a HOBBY. Something for fun. dude, you gotta lighten up. most people on here are teasing. it's great for you if you have a mountain, no matter how small, to go to a few times a week. but once every so often when a really good storm comes in, get some friends to go and throw down for gas for a day trip to a better resort if it's a powder day. seriously. lighten up and just enjoy the sport.

That part right there is a reasonable statement, unlike most of the crap that's been posted on here just trying to provoke me for amusement.
I don't know why everyone's being so mean just because I wish my local mountain didn't groom Every single trail immediately falling an overnight dump. We are not in 2nd grade so I don't know why people are "teasing" a complete stranger on an internet forum

Dude, it's an internet forum, what do you expect?

You brought this on yourself and made it worse by continuing the back and forth with people "provoking you for their own amusement."

Look back through the thread. There was almost two full pages of people simply trying to give you advice before the first wise-crack happend at the end of the second page....but only after you said some people need to improve their skills....which sounded really annoying to a bunch of passionate snowboarders when it comes from someone that has only been up 4 times.

It likely would have ended there if you would have clarified yourself without calling him a smartass, but you didn't so the
