Who's got the best conditions ? - Snowboarding Forum

Hi all-

I figured I'd start a link to see what Mountains you've visited in New England from last weekend forward. What were the conditions? As advertised by the resort?

I visited Sunapee two Mondays ago and the conditions were great considering the snowfall- it never got scratchy -BONUS!

40 bucks! BONUS! No lines BONUS!

Leave the date you have ridden with your report.

Hope to get some feedback. Pics even better!

only new england area,?

i visited catskill region mountains, windham and hunter, windham hard some icey, groomed, so is hunter groomed some icey, they have been making snow all weekend.

Wachusett, although pretty small is generally pretty good. They have a kick ass snow-making team, so they're always as good as the weather will let them be. If you going during they day mid-week there are never lines so you can do laps all day long. Stowe & Loon are always nice though.

wish i have time during mid-week, i go on weekends, almost every weekend.

Yeah- being a bum has it's perks!

Is Hunter considered a steep mountain? 'Been there once for downhill mountain biking and some of what I saw was knarly steep!

I have been at sunapee every day the past week, and its honestly been pretty good for the snowfall, or lack there of again this season. They have some of the best snowmaking and crew out there.

I have a season pass to Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA and the conditions are mainly good, but once a year I go to Bretton Woods in NH. Bretton Woods in my fav. Nahoba Valley in Westford is nice but small.

Edit: Didnt see what you wrote about having visited in the past week or so. I have only been to Wachusett so far this year. Will be at Bretton Woods on Feb. 16

Hey download the app "Ski Report" on your phone. They have daily updates about mountains in your area. They give you daily conditions, how many trails/list are open, some have updated pix, and they let people comment reviews so you get to see what riders have said that day about the mountain.

They have a kick ass snow-making team, so they're always as good as the weather will let them be. If you going during they day mid-week there are never lines so you can do laps all day long.
