Gore Mountain? - Snowboarding Forum

Anybody been there? How is it? from what I have been reading vs hunter mountain they supposed to have longer runs.

Hunter is my fav mountain that is closes to the city but hmm Gore looks good on the paper

Gore is fun and they have real glade runs as opposed to Hunter. All weather conditions being equal I'd pick Gore over Hunter if there is enough coverage for glades.

Just stay away from the Little Gore mountain, the connecting trail is very long and flat with uphill areas that will force you to walk and restrap a few times. Their half pipe is a mini and not many trails on that side. There are some glades though. If you do want to check out Little Gore, go there first and park at that base. The liftee said going from Little Gore to main Gore isn't nearly as bad but we just took shuttle over since it was end of day for us.

I go to Gore every weekend and love it, if you have ever been to Whiteface (gore's sister mountain), Gore is much better in my opinion. I have only been to a couple hills so my opinion probably doesn't matter

i have been checking how to get there via bus or train there seems to be no way, only option is to rent a car aaah, their lift tickets are amazingly cheap(35 weekend/holiday) for a what promises to be a better mountain than hunter also they have progression park which is one of the reasons why I want to go there.

right sorry for that i have been checking a lot of different mountains around the nyc area for the upcoming president's weekend and apparently my mind was stuck with this little place called Cannonsburg Ski area (Lift Ticket | Cannonsburg)

gore will be like 79 a day this week
