I don't know whats going on in Vermont but I seem to be getting hit with notices to my phone via Ski & Snow app or seeing pics on FB daily about inches upon inches constantly falling up there.
What's going on? Where did all this snow start coming from suddenly? Not that I am complaining. Headed up to Sugarbush and Stowe this weekend actually |

Upslope snows.. wind carrying moisture runs into a mountain and is forced upward, rapidly cooling and creating cloud and precip.
![]() Jay ended up with almost 30 last night and Stowe with a foot or so. I'm actually headed up to Stowe tonight as well... looks like we should at least get something Saturday overnight. Not huge but maybe another 6 to go along with the 18+ that has fallen over the past 48. |

It may be late in the season but it seems that NE is getting hit with another 6"-14" of snow this coming Wed-Thurs. Its beautiful. Wish it was all happening in Jan but I'll take all the snow we can get.
Sadly I will miss out on this weekend as the wife and I JUST came back from Sugarbush and Stowe thsi past weekend. BTW....its was AMAZING!!! |

I road Stowe on Sunday. Sugarbush Saturday. A bit hard to see is almost an understatement lol. It was a damn whiteout at the summit on Sunday. At one point, exiting the gondola lift (around like 2:45), I really couldn't see more than about 40-50ft ahead of me. I loved it

I had a pretty solid low vis wipe out on liftline. Upper section skiers right.. directly under the quad. Was moving pretty well through the moguls, kind of lost my line, couldn't speed check, couldn't really see and literally ate a mogul. Thankfully it was soft. Quote:
Not sure if its your first time this year or ever.. but spruce is always a nice place for some of the more mellow stuff and is usually quiet. |

I've only been in Indiana and once in Finland. This should be quite the experience for me. Thanks, Jason |
