Storm cuts power to more than 1M in New England - Yahoo! News
sounds like some killer street rail conditions evyrthing shut down. any body on here (that still has power) witnessing this storm first hand???im also guessing there was some snow fall with this???? Last edited by Sick-Gnar; 12-12-2008 at 11:26 AM. |

Ooh...looks like ice. Hope that was snow in the mountains. Still, that ice is NASTY looking. Seriously, anyone out there with internetz right now? I'd love to hear a first hand account.

It was/is an ice storm. Really, really nasty conditions and not snow by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe the ice skaters are destroying the rails, but I don't really think this storm works for boarders.

NOTHING shuts down a city like an ice storm. Only a flood is worse, imo. I was in an ice storm in Indy that lasted for about a week. I couldn't even open the doors on my car to put it in the garage. By the time I was able to, I blew a tire because they were so frozen to the ground. It killed power, brought down trees and made roads impassible. Good luck out there.
