Mt Hood Meadows..owes a lil something?

I think if Meadows does not get off there asses and get the WHOLE mountain up running us season pass holders should get a small gift card to compensate for the late season.I mean I know the snow fell late this year and its not there fault but we are having storms all week and they still cant get a real run up!???

Am I being Ludacris?

Well, I don't have a season pass. But I had a bunch of buy 1 get 1 passes from the recent Expo and now I won't get to use them because they are expired. I think they should be extended.

Honestly, there isnt THAT much snow..28 inches is nothing...the only reason we have that much at the base is because of the snow machine and the fact its been so windy its blowing all the snow down the hill to the lower lifts..and the fact they started moving snow from the parking lot and what not up onto the 3 open runs...

Look at the Vista lift cam, you can still see dirt

Theres nothing they can do about that..hopefully this next big storm coming through will give them enough to open. Believe it or not, they dont have a giant conspiracy to keep higher lifts closed.

The little snow we have came mostly over last weekend, two days ago. Coverage is very minimal. How can they work with snow that hasn't fallen yet? The "WHOLE" area doesn't normaly open until late December or January.

What would you like to see them do? Open lifts with no way to get down but to walk through a little snow and a lot of rocks?

With the next two storms coming you'll see more terrain opening and more lifts. If things aren't different by next Tuesday I would understand your frustration, as for now I don't think you have a case.

Chill, it's coming. Thursday should be a good day.

MHX is opening . . . I am bummed about the expo thing as I was going to use them. I left a comment on the blog but now the comments have to be approved. Needless to say I asked if they could extend the expo deal and "The Man" didn't post my comment on the blog. Sorta pisses me off that they are censoring comments but after what happened at the end of the season with hundreds of pissing and moaning comments it needed to be done.

Not bad. MEX and STAR opened today and it was very good.

There's a chance we could go from nothing to everything open in under two weeks. That should keep the whining down. Got to love PNW dumpage!

They won't. Remember about 4yrs ago when we got absolutely no snow? Local season pass holders got bent over on that one.

Local in the Seattle area or the PNW in general? Meadows pass holders did well compared to most of the PNW.

I think the further South you went the better it became. Willamette Pass and Shasta did ok and the Tahoe area did great.

The outcome of buying a pass is all based on luck. If you can't deal with taking the good with the bad you shouldn't buy a pass.
