Baker was closed today due to high avvy on the road (which got hit). So its closed tomorrow too while they dig out the road. It was 34 degrees all through the storm

So you might think about whistler....

It's been 8C here and raining all day yesterday and today, 100mm+ type stuff and it ain't stopping... Turning the knee-deep snowpack into slush that barely covers the toes...

I'll be at Baker on Sunday.

Was trying to hit it up yesterday, but all the resorts were closed yesterday and today. Hopefully they open for the weekend since I'm planning to hit Baker on Sat and Crystal on Sun.

Why would that stop you? It's the same at Alpental and Stevens. I prefer Baker for many reasons, the absence of skiiers being just one of them. However, it's not that big of a deal and you can't let that stop you...it's just the way it is.

I snowboard Crystal all the time and have never encountered any kind of anti-snowboard attitude. Granted they don't exactly cater to freestyle snowboarding, but if you want to freeride on some great terrain then Crystal is perfect.

No. Kids just like to say stupid things.

I made it half way to Baker yesterday then my van decided to break down on me. I had to limp it back home to Canada without making it to the mountain. I've been to Baker quite a few times but not with anybody that really knows the area and I know there's more to explore. In time I will know the mountain like I do Whistler. I have plans to tag along with some guys later this year and hit the famous road gap.
