Default Stephens pass for arsenalfan

I'm going to be in the area on Wednesday and wondering if its worth checking out. I understand its likely early snow conditions, but would it be a total waste of time?

Stevens should be decent. They have gotten some good shots of snow. There was a warm up though. I wouldn't call it a waste of time. Beautiful area. If it is just pissing rain, drive over to Leavenworth, drink some beer. There is a good chance it wouldn't be raining over there anyway.

Thanks man. I am in the Portland area too but Mount Hood doesn't appear to open until Thursday.

If anybody is down to snowboard on Wednesday at Stephens Pass (the actual ski resort) , please let me know. It would be nice to meet up.

The only possible way I would bail is if the weather looked really darn nasty as I need to make my way, by car, back to Calgary by Thursday night.

Cheers!!

We did get a crap ton of rain up there early this week, but they will be open. Only a couple lifts will be turning (probably Hogsback, Skyline, Brooks, and Daisy) so there won't be much open. Probably a small park open as well. But it does look like it is supposed to be sunny.

Stevens is closed Wednesday. Sorry man! I was there today and it was pretty firm so you're not missing out on much. Park is hikable if you're really fiending to get on some snow.
