Season started today!!..... Kind of. The chairs where spinning, but nobody was on them. I had to use my own 2 to get up. 12"s and much deeper where the wind dumped it. go get some!!

FKNA dude! Did you see sketchy's post on the Splitfest in late March? I was thinking on maybe trying to get plane tickets to coincide with that weekend...

Yes, I have. Terry is doing a stand up job organizing, and the poster and web site look kick ass! I already put in for 2 spots, and was going to ask you if you wanted to come out then. Should be a pretty good time, and I have heard the riding isn't half bad up there.

Sweet dude! The next SW sale (this one doesn't cover March) I'll get tickets to cover for those dates. Hopefully a week off! I'm in!

I think a group of us a are planning on going their AS SOON AS THEY OPEN, it look's like they are the closest to opening day (that isn't too far from us) What do you think will be the openning weekend ? Do they have any snow machines to help speed it up ? Trying to look at lodging...

ale, hows the hiking around stevens this time of year? I live about 45 minutes from Baker so i usually head up there to hike around, but may be down south this weekend and would love to get the dogs out there and take a few turns.. Do you park on the side of the road just like regular season, and start walking up? ha

I was thinking about that when I checked the telemetry donw there. Seems like the spot be right now.. high up on a volcanoe you know.

Looking forward too it. I'll try and keep myslef healthy this year.

They still need a few more feet, and it is supposed to get warmer again before it gets colder. They don't have any snow machines. I'd look in Leavenworth for lodging. Stevens Pass Motel - Goldbar, WA. in gold bar is pretty cheap.

Hiking isn't as good as up at Baker. Stevens just got a good dose from the convergance zone that set up. Just park in the resorts main lot, nobody will hassle you. Until it fills in a tad more, the only thing ridable is low angle in bounds.

The first photo was yesterday on a run called skid road. Today we went to the back side and rode down to the powerlines.

i checked wunderground for Glacier and almost shed a tear when i saw that.. early this week, it was snow through friday... yeah if you are at 8000 feet ha :mad:

I am optimistic they are being pessimistic.

The forecst for the other side of the crest isn't so bad.
