I agree with oneshot. La Nina IS HERE. Sure, places like Tahoe & Utah aren't getting what they had last year at this time, but last year was NOT NORMAL for those places on a La Nina year.
Most of the places where La Nina normally benefits (ie: British Columbia and surround areas) are MUCH ABOVE AVERAGE for this time of year with 5ft on the ground!

Utah actually does pretty well during La Nina years. California tends to be more like this year than last, but as we saw it does swing the other way. Late starts are par for the course in La Nina seasons around here. Usually once it starts it's a pretty solid season until late April, early May. If it still sucks by Christmas, I'll start getting worried...

Haha starting this thread was more of a joke than anything. Yes, it is only December 2nd! We've definitely got a damn good base to start out with.

Oneshot, looks like the BC is still pretty prime! I was worried about that rain crust and the effects of the freeze thaw cycles we've been having. Maybe it's time to get my hike on at Stevens....

Most folks are predicting mid to late December for things to kick in strong, wish it would hurry up already, been here for almost 3 weeks and have only had one 11in powder day!
