I figured I'd be a good idea to start a conditions thread for everyone to post the most current conditions on their local mountains/backcountry. You can't always trust the conditions page on the interwebz, right?
Post away, y'alls. |

Coming from Springfield/Eugene area to meadows for the first time to do some night skiing with some friends this Thursday. Praying for some snow between now & then. Willamette pass & hoodoo are barren right now. And I'm fiending to board, just hoping for some decent riding Thursday.

Looks like sunny skies through the week. If you're gonna ride hood I would try Tline right now. They have a little more snow and their park setup is pretty good right now. They even managed to build a 25-30 ft jump.

Well TLine was the plan originally but the way it works out we can only go for night skiing, & their's is closed at the moment. So we hadta go with meadows:/ I guess it will be better than not boarding at all. The forecast is just depressing, endless clear skies for the entire area. If it was just me I'd be TLine all day but they can't afford the full day price plus rentals, they're all beginners. Oh well, I'll be able to ride willamette all winter & have a tentative plan for a Bach trip with another friend.

I rode Sat and Sunday and can only say there seemed to be a difference from the beginning of the weekend to the end in the snow coverage. Its getting sparser and they need more snow soon. Got a little soft mid day because it was warm but for night skiing, expect it to range from icy to bulletproof with stuff sticking out of it in high traffic areas. Bring your carving board and have fun!

^And speaking of Snoqualmie, I have some friends who live in Bellvue & I'm planning on taking a week off of work to go stay with them & hopefully board at Snoqualmie as much as possible. Really excited for that. |

Was at the season opener for night ops @ Snoqualmie last night. Only Summit Central for now. Def fast and super hardpacked. I had a blast, but felt really bad for the beginners falling on that stuff.
