I really want to check these places out, been to J-Hole before and really loved it, this won't be till next winter/spring. I'm going to be in college next year at UWSP on the GI Bill and have been working since I got out about a year and a half ago, so during the winter break/spring break time periods I would like to drive out there because I now have a very intense dislike of flying, and I have been putting money away for while and some of is going to a serious trip next year.
My main question is what are the differences between Big Sky and Jackson's backcountry areas? Does Sun Valley have good backcountry areas? Are there any good routes between the three what is the driving distance/time between them? Any good lift ticket packages? Would it even make sense to try going to two of these place if can get out to one of them. I've heard and seen so many good things about Big Sky that are appealing to me it kind of sounds like a must for me, but if I could get to Jackson in half a day or even a full day I could loop around after Big Sky and have a pretty easy route back. So I need to know if Sun Valley is worth the further drive west to Idaho which the more I think about makes me wonder if I should consider it at all. Any help would be great and sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.

Talked to a guy yesterday night at mount bohemia who said to ignore ignore Sun Valley and Big Sky all together and just go to Bridger Bow and drive through yellowstone and go to jackson hole can anyone tell me if this sounds like the best way to go for a big mountain/backcountry experience. I've really liked J-Hole when I was there, any answers at all would help.
