I dunno about the rest of you guys, but I'm really starting to get anxious for this season to get here. So where's everyone planning on riding? I decided against a season pass this year as I'm planning on spending around half my days splitboarding instead of resort riding. Plus, I have more fun chasing the snow and riding as many places as I can. Taking my first trip to Silverton and maybe Revy this year too.

Ok guys and gals, STOKE AWAY!

Been glue to NOAA.org looking at weather condition for Wolf Creek (4hrs drive away). Debating on getting an End of Day Pass for Angel Fire (2hrs drive away, about 1hr east of Taos) for $399, which has no blackout days and if the world doesn't end on Dec. 21st, the pass will let you ride the mountain bike park, zipline and 2013 winter season.

I don't have a goal for days, just a goal to ride the best possible terrain. I'm on a mission across the country starting the last week of November. Just gave up the lease on my apartment, paid all bills for the next 4 months to cover me until I get back and I start work again(commercial fishing). Loading my split board and winter camping gear in the back of my truck and heading out. I live in SoCal and really the mountains here aren't doing it for me.

Headed areas of the country not so much resorts.
Colorado Rockies - Nov.24-Dec. 3rd
Jackson and the Tetons - Dec. 4th - Dec. 26th
Seattle and the Cascades Dec. 27th - Jan. 3rd
Mt. Bachlor and Hood - Jan. 4th - 10th
Tahoe area - Jan 11th - Jan 21st

I'm hoping for some good blue bird days, good snow and safe travel. My plans are real tentative, I'm chasing snow! Looking to link up with anyone around any of those places too! Its going to be an epic adventure. I can't wait for the snow to start really coming down. Super Stoked right now!!!! Totally obsessed, everything I do day to day is working toward this trip!

Let me know when you'll be headed towards bachelor or hood. Slim chance I'll be at bachelor. But if I'm not there I'll be an hour from hood.

Snowolf is into hiking and split boarding stuff, ands good at it. He's local to hood as well.

Sounds like fun time you have ahead of you. We rode with a guy doing the same thing last year.

nice plan, dude.

I realize this is the wrong thread, but like last year I will be buying a season pass for Nozawa onsen in Nagano. Not sure how much I can get up there but should be at least 30 days. Will aim for 50.

Looking to up my airtime and jumping skills on natural features.
Get 3s with grabs locked down, front and backflips too all on natural hits with powder landings.

Can't wait to get in the white room. I may have 2 more months to wait, but when it comes here it comes big time.

Dude enjoy Nagano! Thats awesome!

pdxrealtor - talked with Snowolf a bit. I plan on hitting him up when I get to the area. Sent you a msg as well with my contact info. I'll be there around the beginning of January. Really I haven't locked myself down to a single location in any state so I'd love to swing through.

(PNW) Got Gold season pass for Snoqualmie. I usually ride Crystal, however I've never been to Snoqualmie so decided the kid and I would hit it up this year. I heard Alpental is a blast and Summit Central has decent terrain park.

Drove by White Pass today on my way back from Chinook. Its lookin pretty good for this early! If this weather keeps up, it'll be super fun possibly end of next week

Weird weather. Lightning and thunder in heavy snow. Still not quite enough coverage for splitting, but a few cats built some small jumps on T Bar hill and were getting some stoke....

NWBoarder and I have been talking and are tentatively planning an overnight splitboard tour into Goat Rocks Wilderness from the PCT at White Pass with some friends from Seattle after I get back from the Grand Canyon in 3 weeks. So far, WP has been getting more snow and colder temps....

If we can a few people willing to come, I can get rental splitboards for those wanting to give it a try. I am willing to give anyone a "Readers Digest" version of my Introduction to Backcountry Splitboarding course.

At White Pass, the skin up to the top is actually fairly gentle and is a great place to learn and get some pre season warm up touring.we have very reasonable lodging as well as a few decent pubs in Packwood. Pre season rates at the White Pass Resort condos might also be very doable....
I would totally be down with doing that! I've been debating on getting a split board to keep up with some skier friends from work that do a lot of back country but know nothing about it. An intro class would be phenomenal.

Im super stoked for this season.

I have my sabbatical this year...56 paid days off, fuk yes.

It starts Christmas week, and with my Meadows Midweek+ pass I hope to get up there 3+ times a week, as long as my body can take it lol.

I hope its a decent season, i dont need record snow levels, but hell even as long as its an average year for snow fall ill be happy, i'd hate to have 'wasted' my 7 year sabbatical on a bad winter lol.
