Can`t pay me enough to be within 100 miles of there on a Thanksgiving opening day with every idiot in Portland going bananas!!!! I will be splitboarding in the back country on Friday instead.

I always laugh at the "snow fever" especially in the PNW with the longest season in the country. People rush out early and destroy their brand new gear yet these are the same people who come April 1, quit riding when there are 2 of the best months ahead of them.......

My buddy Greg at Hillcrest is going to be VERY busy come Monday with all of the damaged gear to repair......:D
Yep that would be the festivities.:D

You forgot youngins hucking into a 3 foot base of unconsoladated snow. Hate seeing kids risk their entire season or life on the first day of the year.

At least it's better than a WROD.

Are you splitting WRC or out of White Pass?

After thursday that place must have been a tracked out mess. I left at 2:30 and it was done for then..... Im sure there were some nice freshies once they opened shooting star about 3pm , and some leftovers the next morning but it was already wet enough that any rain Thursday night couldn't have done any good.

Thursday morning was decent riding IMO. Well worth it to me. Sunshine and deep snow, even it was wet and in spots thin. Best day of the (in bounds) season at meadows.

And..... Those kids were launching off every drop into 3ft of fluff, no shit.

We WILL have to follow through on this eventually haha. Unfortunately with my current contract I'm chained to the office M-F. I really miss chasing pow on weekdays! Planning to come down the weekend before Christmas and ride Meadows Sat and/or Sun. There happens to be a Google local offer going on now for a $43 lift ticket, so that's pretty sweet.
