Based on the weather I would guess it's a waste of a trip, but first-hand reports would be nice. Snow is expected on Wednesday, but I'm not sure if a day of snow is going to repair much.
I was at Snoqualmie on Wednesday. It was about 45 degrees and full sun out. The snow was firm in the morning, softening real nice from about 11 to 4:30, then it got real cold, real fast, and everything froze right up. Soooo, if the weather trend is the same still, which it looks to be, then I would say you're fine if it's during the daytime, but I wouldn't be trying to ride at night right now.

Thursday in the parking lot at Meadows.

Something is wrong if you can't enjoy yourself on a January day like that.

I'm not complaining, but January is supposed to be the powder month. If I wanted to go spring boarding I'd go in the spring. All I gotta say is February better make up for it with powder, or else I'm gonna try to have fun riding groomers all day.

I don't know how it is up there in BC, but down here in WA, January has been the ice month with February and March delivering the powder goods. It loooks like the inversion is over though, and the snow has returned!

From my personal experience it usually starts to get good right after christmas and continues right into the better part of January and then there is usually a 2 or 3 week snow drought in February...Although the last couple years have been kind of weird with early or late snowfalls.

That is right wolfie!! 8" new at Stevens overnight. Expecting 10 more inches today. I am going to head up this morning and bask in the awesomeness. It is going to be super windy today up there but hell, it hasn't snowed for 2 weeks so I will deal with the wind and flat light.
