Not what I wanted to hear from Meadows. Looked like it was getting warm up there today. Not sure if I am ready to go up tomorrow just to end up throwing on a trash bag and riding in a bunch of sticky snow. Also just realized my chains are broke anyways, oh well. Ready for the spring weather to return so I can hit up T-line for some park laps on Monday.

So report last night said it was going to start raining at Qualm after 10pm. Checked weather report again on the way to work at 6am and it had changed to rain after 10am. Looks like the freezing level rose faster than anticipated, so now even Stevens/Crystal look like they'll be seeing rain from here on out. FUUUUUUUUUUU

Yep, the weather hates me. I'm so fucked for tomorrow. Hope the kids don't mind riding in the rain.
Oh yeah!? Well, my mom says I'm cool!

Default damn weather!!

Tried to get some afternoon leftovers at Stevens yesterday. Very very wind buffed, and really heavy pow where it was collecting. Really crazy wind transport. A little knob I was riding last Saturday (6' drop of so) was now a 15' drop with HUGE cornice. Got some decent turns in protected spots off Corona Bowl, but didn't push my luck and venture into my usual sidecountry (would have been poor form, given the avy conditions). Wasn't raining when I left at 4, but the snowflakes were super heavy.

That's what I was thinking. Looks like I will be watching the Superbowl, bbq'ing and working on my wife's car this weekend.

You're not the only ones. East Coast just got raped with weather. Rained for 18 hours with a high of 53. Jumps have turned to bumps which will turn to ice tonight. Can't even imagine what the hill will look like this weekend.

Damn it's supposed to be spring skiing again down here. After noon things will soften up and there should be plenty of fresh wet poop to cruise through when they open the upper lift hopefully later today or tomorrow. This was a shot of the upper most lift just now. Sunny and above the clouds. Spring skiing is my second favorite so I don't mind it.
