You know......, there is another IMO great option that has not been mentioned and that is the Summit ski area. I made more progress there than any place else. Not because it's anything special I just found it was the perfect length, width, and steepness of a hill to help me learn linking turns. And they tickets are dirt cheap.

Maybe hire a private instructor (I wasn't impressed with the summit instructor we got the kids)

This is of course if for some reason you're not wanting to go to Meadows. I see you've questioned things a couple times so I thought I'd throw it out there.

i went to meadows, and hit up theyre beginner hill... it was a fun time, i did well on my own... the only downfall was that it was saturday and pretty packed... im just trying to check out timberline since there spring pass is coming soon, and it goes a long time, so i figure i'll hit up timberline soon and see what it's about
