Great conditions minus some strong wind. It's been so long since we've had powder I forgot that some lines just don't work in the stuff. Did a lot of unstrapping and strapping.
Here's some pics....... Wolfie showed me absolute magnitude, Jacks Woods, and more Private Reserve, which I've decided for me is not worth it. Too short, too many cliffs, and too much walking when you're at the bottom.
Day two I spent a lot of time in Fright Trees. That's my new favorite run for now........
Flying in from east cost, I'll be riding Mt. Hood solo this coming weekend. Looking forward to the snow. I won't venture out off the trails too much. Should I bring my Ride Highlife or Lib Tech TRS, considering the conditions?
The Hiking was open an a per day evaluation recently, I think last week.
It is closed now most likely due to the storm that just dumped snow on the mountain, but it could open soon. They've opened up the the Canyon from A-zone down as of today.
Remember you need a beacon/probe/shovel, and a partner for that hike.
F1- not knowing what type of riding you enjoy and not knowing much about those boards I can't be of much help. The conditions today and the conditions by this weekend will most likely different. There's supposed to be rain mid week. Much farther than that Iv'e found isn't reliable forecast data. At least this year.
Bring both your boards if you can.... Win win
I'll be there Saturday if you want to do a couple runs.
Ya plus all the untouched snow on cascade vista and the canyon --- can't believe I skipped it.
Could have been the last best day of the year.
