NW/Backside: ride up the summit lift and drop off the backside of the mt.... it wraps around the back and you end up to the rider's left of the NW lift - further left than you have been just riding from the top of NW... probably the longest run on the mt. great gnarly alpine into some mellow tree'd chutes and then into the trees of NW... the trees you may not have found yet.

Rainbow - take the rainbow (slow) chair up and ride to the rider's right of the chair (east boundary of the mt).... go right like two bowls over and drop, just make sure you start heading back to the left (west) before you get too low because the boundary line can be missed if you aren't looking for it if you're really far left... just follow other people's tracks. some of the freshest goods over there.

Thanks for the tips.... I've barely dipped into west bowls to left of NW chair, about half way down. It was great though so I can only imagine it gets better the farther over you go. I'm gonna take it easy tomorrow, check out rainbow for a while, until they open summit.

The trees down NW whether right or left of lift line I find very fun. What I love about those runs over there is they're long, 1.5 miles!

Meadows is great, but its so short. Frieght trees is my new favorite spot at meadows.

best tree run on the mountain that I've found. Considering slope, where it drops ya off, and the stashes..... Plus a lot don't know how to hit it from the top..... More freshies up high.

I saw the lot was full...... Tomorrow will be capacity. Freshies on cascade though.....for the first 20 minutes. Lol. Maybe they'll open heather.

I'm in bend thru Sunday so no meadows for me. It'll be a zoo here though too. All about rainbow and summit tomorrow. Back up plan will be the west bowls.

Thx for the tips.

i've got a snowmobile now - hopefully i'll never ride a resort on the weekend ever again.

make the backside a priority. sometimes they'll open summit but not open the backside. if it is open, traverse over at least 3-4 ridges before you drop in. stay up high in the highest traverse you can before you drop in.

rainbow is good to lap and kinda keep an eye on what's going on with summit running or not. only bummer is the chair is slow but that's kinda why the snow stays fresh

Score on the Snobike. Where are you gonna take that , drop, and get back to it?

Looks like I'm traversing over aiming for middle of backside going off the map vs dropping further east where summit let's you off. Great tips dude ...!!! Will do.

Would you recommend a straight drop down once in position, then catch line to nw chair, or a gradual traverse down towards NW chair leaving less catch line to skate to NW chair?

I'm thinking exactly what you just said. Ride the rainbow to keep an eye on summit. And of course find some stashes and learn a new area of the mnt.

Shit tomorrow is day 3 so its gonna be take it easy. Day one and two I hit it hard, and I have day four left to go with a buddy whose gonna be fresh and wanna hit the expert shit all day long and hard.

Wolfe always runs my ass to the fucking dirt. Makes me feel like a little girl. Lol. Seriously that guy is that pro athlete that has the gift of endurance. I guarantee you his ass is taking last run right now, at 9:01. And it was looking like he'd make opening chair,,, or close.

Traversed over at summit then just fucking dropped it. Wide open to sick trees to huge chutes, as said.

Rainbow chair def has some stashes but man that chair is fucking s l o w ....... Er than a s l u g

I could only hit it twice due to time and all the other bs I went thru today.

Great advice though...... Thx a million
