Praying for El Nino to hit I seriously wish we had that much range here in SoCal, but definitely wouldn't mind some good dumps for some fun park/pow days at Bear. Screw Mt. High

Bridger bowl stuff looks dope! Been a while isnce I've ridden there. Was pretty stoked to see the inclusion of bridger and a few others in the pow allies. Might make a trip out there with the girls this winter.

Ill have to reopen the suprise camp for steve and you kc. Pretty much. Endless options in that zone. You more then welcome to join us zag.

And sorry to bust the cali bubble, but. This. Winter is looking like it. Will be elnuetral.

El neutral doesn't mean a bad winter for cali. More like average. Hopefully spread out over a full season. Kind of what everyone looks to be in this winter. While no one may be exceptional, it should make for a solid road trip year in the west.

That wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Yeah I can count on one hand the amount of snow fall days that supplied the snow for the entire season. Granted it allowed me to hit some amazing pow days, I'd like for more spread out conditions besides either a ration of 1:10 of either amazing or eh conditions

Wouldn't hurt my feelings either. I like a winter where every on has a good year.

Personally, I dont get wrapped up in predictions, and just take it as it comes. Always something ggod going on. As long as it isnt a total dry year, ther is usulaly something to be found somewhere.

Looked. Back at some previous seasons and found that ealry october has been the norm. Great pow openers at muir, heliotrope, ruth... although there is no road to helitrope, we did the. Skyline area. On baker last october. So, maybe only a little more then two momths now!

If i could do my dream season, it would be in Washington from October into February and then come out to Montana for the spring. I think you would really get the best of both worlds, get the big winter storms in washington when it is cold (>0) and boney in montana, then get sunny pow days in the spring in montana when washington can get a bit soggy.

I usually try to get some turns in october out here but it is most often a long hike for some sketchy thin patch, makes you question if it is worth it. I think im going to spend this fall fishing and let the base build before i head out.

Walove, would sometime in March be the best time to make my way out to Montana? I'm thinking of making it a long weekend with a stop at Schweitzer along the way. I'll bring my splitty if you're willing to show me around a bit too!

March is the month out here for snow. I'm always happy to get out in the bc. I'll be around Stevens for the shit show that is christmas to new years. Ideally splitting during the day and riding lifts at night.

I leave for Chamonix Christmas Day through New Years, but if you're in town before that, we should meet up.

awww rough life... you may have mentioned that in another thread and i may have already suggested you talk to Liz Dee to pick her brain - a badass splitboard guide from WA who works around baker/has lived in Chamonix....

my PNW winter will be splitboards and sleds... hopefully not much lifts.
