Fking high pressure system sitting on top of us needs to go away and let that cold Alaska air down to play..

It's the same everywhere in the NW. Fucking sucks. Heading out tomorrow for a Canadian roadtrip. We were going to hit Big White & Silverstar, but that's not happening now since nothing is open. Hood was our backup plan, but they're not opening either. Now we're just going to tag along with some other friends that are going to Whistler. Hope it's not too shitty.

Oh, and why is this thread in the Equip Review section? lol

YEAH, RODE WHISTLER YESTERDAY, IF YOUR COMING UP BRING SOME ROCK BOARDS FO SHO. AS SOON AS YOU LEAVE THE HIGHWAYS ( THE USUAL GROOMED RUNS) YOUR MAD JIBBIN YO. LOL, ACTUALLY PRETTY FUN IF YOU LIKE TO RIDE SOME TREES ONCE IN A WHILE. PLUS HAVING COMPS WITH A WHOLE CREW OF RIDERS, SEEING WHO CAN RIDE THE FARTHEST ON GRASSY PATCHES IS FUN. THE PARKS BLOW RIGHT NOW, NOT ENOUGH SNOW TO BUILD BIG JUMPS YET. PEACE

Yeah, this is the first season in 5 years that we have not been open at Meadows for thanksgiving. Now snow in sight either. At this fucking rate, the only boarding I am going to get is in Alaska!
Wasn't 5 years ago the drought year, and two years ago the glacial outburst?

It will come. I don't think the current weather pattern will last past December.

All the snow is going somewhere. Alyeska had one of their best openings ever.

At least when I lived in Arizona, I had sunny weather to still enjoy hiking. Here it is cluody 24/7 drizzles and still no snow...really re thinking this whole living in the northwest thing!
It's because I just moved out here. Also, God hates me.

Well, long story short, had some trouble at the Canadian border, so we drove all the way down to Portland last night and crashed out at a buddy's house. On the way up to Timberline this morning, we checked the forecast on the phone and....it was closed due to low visibility. Back in Seattle now. Whole lotta driving for nothing :(

I been following the weather around the country and thing are weird all over. It sorta makes you think about the damage we have done to our planet during the time we have inhabited it. There's been plenty of moisture all around, but the problem is that it seems to be raining in many places instead of snowfall.

hopefully we see a dramatic change in temperatures during December :)

We would have had about that much here if it were colder. We are getting the moisture, just not cold enough to change from worthless rain to snow. Around Wed the damn snow level is going back up to 9,000 feet. At this rate, we won`t even be open for Christmas. The only riding I am going to get in December is at Alyeska!
I really hope you're wrong... I'm gonna be in WA at the end of DEC and was REALLY hoping to get some riding in... :|
But I guess worst comes to worst, we'll end up spending 15x more and head to whistler area (though at that time of year I doubt we'd be able to find any lodging ANYWHERE.... :( )
