sooooooo.... when one wears board shorts, is he supposed to be freeballin or sportin skivvies under?
They dont have that mesh liner and on hot days i feel like my boys may droop and be exposed to the harmful effects of the sun and sand.
On the otherhand.... boxers dont dry quickly

... any insight?

I usually go freeballin, it feels great, but u gotta make sure those shorts are tight.

I always wear boxers but if we stop by a bar on the way home or what not; your right, they do not dry fast at all.

I don't wakeboard, but wear boardshorts as swimming trunks, and I think compression shorts (like basketball players wear under their shorts) or underarmor/synthetic underwear works best, tight to keep the balls from hanging out, dry fast, and comfortable as a pair of boxer briefs

damn you beat me to it. yea compression shorts are the way to go, they dry fast, dont chafe like wet cotton, and they dont hold water like cotton does

I went on a 6 day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters in Minnesota/Canada a couple years back and bought these synthetic boxer briefs that were really nice for that. They dried super fast, and they were mash like basketball shorts so you get air to your balls during the day. i want to buy some more to wear for snowboarding and swimming and stuff

i dont even own swim trunks anymore. i just use my UA compression shorts. i love em.
