except instead of counter rotating it, it would spin and wrap around my front foot. like an impossible
again Ive tried this trick hundreds of times and only got it twice, otherwise Id shoot video to show you. the tricks to landing it are to kick the board where the dip before the nose is right when the board is at a half rotation. and to bring the backfoot up as high as possible. its a tough trick, I wish I could actually do it kickflip late impossible? like this but reversed and with the front foot YouTube - Impossible late kickflip attempt Last edited by RidePowder; 04-02-2009 at 04:29 PM. |

So Im workin on my flat grounds in my room, particularly heelflips, because before a few days ago I had never landed one, and I find that they are alot easier than kickflips. They are a bit inconsistent. I probably need to work on my ollies a bit more, Im only getting up to almost two feet on the straight ollie. I dont know, I got close to spinning a double a few minutes ago so Im still super stoked

so thanks largely to my new obsession for snowboarding and partially thanks to this thread i went out and bought a skateboard today. i got a shop board and some sweet thunder trucks. feels good to get back into it. felt a bit awkward at first but soon i was re-learning ollies and pop shuv-its.

yea the only difference is that im about 6 years older a foot or so taller and probably 80 pounds heavier than i was the last time i really skated, kinda felt bad for my board when i would land real hard lol. but it feels good regardless. and stomping a trick on a skateboard is just as rewarding as on a snowboard. gotta love that.

I think its more rewarding to land a trick while skating. Fuck it takes forever to get it juuustt right and it hurts if you dont. If i fuck up doing a snowboarding trick, oh no, I either slip off the rail prematurely or bail on a jump and land in a big pile of snow. It also doesn't take nearly as long to get a trick locked down on a snowboard. It took me several weeks to get a front board on my skate locked down but it took only a day on my snowboard.
Snowboarding is awesome don't get me wrong. But when it comes to progression and difficulty Skateboarding is win. Just keep at it and you'll get back into it in no time. I kinda went through the same thing, I gave it up for years. Between 18 and 22 I didn't touch a skate, I thought it was immature and I had to give it up to grow up while at Uni. I was wrong, I should've stuck with it. pic related
