Granted this isn't a sport but this is something I do alot in the Spring/Summer/Fall. For me it goes hand in hand with camping. I'm not a big fan of "Campgrounds" with their restrooms and fire pits and whatnot. I like roughing it. And my truck allows me to really isolate myself. Anyways, let's post up some of our OHV trails and share some memories!

My favorite trail that I've traversed so far would have to be Jenny Creek in Colorado. It has a little bit of everything, Rocky technical sections, a nice sized mud pit, and as you could tell by the name, plenty of water crossings! Hell, part of the trail ran in the river for a good distance. It was sweet. However, this trail isn't for those who are extremely worried about your rig's paintjob. VERY narrow trail, when I got home I noticed I had an extensive custom pin-stripe added to my truck.

I go 4 wheeling alot in the summer but it's on my 650 prarie though.We have 210 acres of land in the mountians of western NC.that I have cut over 6 miles of trails on.We also snowboard it in the winter for some back country riding.This summer I plan on adding about 3 more miles.

i dont have a vehicle thats necessarily built for off roading but it can take you average off road terrain. (stock 95' ford ranger) i saw some random trails in the woods on my way to the mountain a few weeks ago and i was thinking about heading up during the summer and driving way out and pitching a tent. think it would just be awesome.

that sounds pretty sweet. you could set it up where you could have it licensed and then charge people to use your terrain.

these are all the pics i have access to at work. i'll dig up some more when i get home. we also have a wolverine which i mostly ride. there are a ton of places up there to tear around. so much fun, even my wife gets in on the action.

the plan for this summer is to ride the trails up to the top of the mountain to the overlook, bust out the tents and camping gear and camp out for a night. cant wait.

That sounds like sooo much frickin fun!!

I agree with those who say camping and off roading goes hand-in-hand, Hunting is right in there too. I'm not a hunter per say, but I enjoy going along for the ride when camping, and off roading is involved and when my husband hunts, it always is!

I never used to 'get' mudding. I didn't understand why after ever single puddle my husband would get out and asses the 'damage' ...that was of course until he let me take the wheel and find some mud for myself!! It's a blast! and getting out to make sure you get the mud on the roof of the truck and EVERYWHERE else is just apart of the fun! So, now I get it!

He's been having me watch a lot of rock crawler shows lately. We'd love to get a Jeep (or something similar) as our next 'toy' *as soon as the sleds are paid off, of course. I think it would be kick ass!! Not only would it be a helluva good time but a great relationship-builder to boot! Husband & Wife working together as spotter and driver, would require soooo much trust and excellent communication... I mean you've got to think about tire placement, picking the 'line' getting the ropes out if necessary, ultimately trying to avoid rolling it and/or getting stuck. IMO if a couple can do all that w/out totally wrecking themselves or the vehicle, then I'd say their relationship is pretty damn solid!

Damn, why can't more women have your perception? They'd be hitched like it ain't no thang. ATVing is always a riot and grew up on them myself. One uncle is a hunting nut and goes out west to CO every year to hunt and be a trail guide outside of typical NY hunting seasons. I hunt only deer but I am definitely an outdoors man for some recreation like that, kick arse!

im lucky, i met a girl who is into ufc, off-roading, motocross, snowboarding and she drag races her mustang. could she be more perfect? lol

atv's are definitely a blast, that would be my next toy once i pay off the remainder of my truck loan.
