I would agree with that. They have been commercially heavily over fished... and indeed it is a shame, but this is what the human species does. I love to eat fish, but I derive more pleasure from catching and then releasing fish I catch. My point in posting this thread was due to the fact that he landed it by himself. A Tuna of that size would fetch thousands of dollars in Japan.\

I agree with your sentiment flick.

Not trying to rain on the parade or anything. I just don't like seeing people showing off how they found an amazing animal and killed it. Search for "World's biggest (animal)" and you're likely to find a picture of it with a hole in its head and some smirking redneck with a shotgun standing over it as if he did something to be proud of. :dunno:
