Default Freebording

So I really want to do something "snowboard" related when ... you know ... there is no snow. I took freebording as an option. It looks alot like snowboarding and the techniques as well.
For any freeborders out there, I have ALOT of questions!

What company sells really good freebords and gear?
What tips do you recommend for a snowboarder with 5+ years of experience?
What should I take into consideration when doing this?

...Well... Freebord sells them. I've only tried it once and didn't get enough of a chance to get the hang of it but I would say you do need a bit of a slope to turn rather than just pushing on a flat or almost flat surface.
