Im not usually that much of a speed demon myself. We left at 2 sunday because the guy I was riding with dislocated his shoulder going OTB on the 3rd drop on bone saw. (the only one either of us will hit) That was a long 2 hour drive back home so he could go to the hospital here.

Yeah that trail is pretty burly. Those drops are no joke. Right now I'm content on riding the B-line but it's def on my trails to conquer list, once I get the skills (and balls) to hit the drops.

Injuries suck, esp when you're far from home. Sucks to hear about your ACL. At least you're still able to ride a bit on it. Do you know if you're going to need surgery?

Right now my regular Doc says I should get the surgery but my Physical Therapy doc says that I shouldn't. The physical therapist tore his ACL 25 years ago and never got surgery. He says that as long as I avoid cleats when playing Ultimate Frisbee (How I tore my ACL) and stay active enough then I should be just fine without it. Today I meet with both of them at the same time to make a final decision.

Yeah that sucks. My buddy just had surgery. He tore his playing softball, probably from his cleats. He was out a good 6-8 months. Hopefully you get good news.

Here's my latest Hellion run at Highland. Such a fun jump trail.

You should read the sign you were leaning on on the bridge. I had a nasty wreck about a month ago when 2 guys in front of me decided to stop on top of that bridge. Theres not really space for a 3rd guy up there even if he is just trying to go by.

I was there staying in the cabin for my bachelor party last weekend. We went skydiving on saturday then stayed at highland and rode sunday and monday. The problem with that is a big group of guys drinking expensive whiskey will eventually decide to go biking in the dark. I faceplanted off the skills area and gouged out a piece of my face with the headlamp I was wearing instead of a helmet.
Moral of the story: Wear a helmet and dont go drunk biking 2 weeks before you're wedding.

Here is some riding from Sunday. I am the guy in front of the camera rider on Cats Paw going at top speed of someone with a face hole, broken finger and the worst hangover ever.

Yeah I've run up on a couple people standing on that bridge myself. You can hear people coming around the bend with plenty of time to pedal off the bridge without them even knowing you were there. It's usually the tourists that just stand there while you run up into them.

I was up Sunday. It was packed but the weather was perfect. I just heard they re-worked Hellion and added a drop this past week.

That's quite the face rash. I'm getting married myself next weekend. I'll see how I look after Sunday. My fiance has forbidden me from getting hurt but sometimes Highland has other plans.
