Just got back from Moab, UT. last night, we road trails friday sat. and sun. and that place has some of the most gnary trails I have ever been on. Yesturday they had a down hill race on Porcupine rim so my buddies and I went and road the trail early in the morning before the race. This downhill is 14 miles of "holy shit" and on some parts you are riding on the edge of a 1000 ft cliff!!! (guess thats where "rim" comes from). I've been riding mostly cross country and some all mountain but downhill is great! I highly recommend going to Moab and riding Porcupine rim you wont be disapointed, not one bit.

Those are great pics of the rim! That place has some of the most breath taking views I have ever seen and I found myself just sitting down and giggling at the top of Mesa Back over looking the valley...I forgot my camera when I went but I took a bunch of pics of Slick Rock and Porcupine on my phone. I was going to post them up but they come out all small and you can't see them very well.

I'm not sure man, I'm a little computer retarded...they came out good by clicking the link though. I would like to know how to post them without the link as well.

No problem
That was my first trip out west. I started mountain biking in 04 and had wanted to ride out west ever since. I was glad to finally make out there this year. We road slick rock while we in MOAB also. After some canyoneering we headed to fruita for some riding. The riding was pretty awesome there to. You right about the technical riding. I thought I was a pretty good technical rider until I road in MOAB/Fruita. Those places really put me in my place......Can't wait to go back. |
