I started riding in 2004, It takes a little time to learn. The important thing is to keep your butt planted on the saddle and stand up strait! As well when I taught people to ride in the past the ones that ski and snowboard all learned the quickest.

I'm 22 and have been riding a unicyle off and on for 10 years. My dad got me one for xmas when I was 12. Took me a few days but I figured it out. Just came sorta natural.. No other kids in the neighborhood could do it. Even kids who were way better at skateboarding then me. I can bunny hop up curbs, do 180's, ride backwards, bunny hop from side to side. Though it's been awhile cause my Uni has a flat tire

Yeah Dan Heaton, of syko productions has produced the best footage out there for unicycle videos. flat land BMX, skate boarding, snowboarding all require similar muscle groups, balance and also the same lack of sense of self preservation, ha! It was always the road cyclists and the mountain bike guys that thought they had it figured out and would get bucked off. I later became an avid road cyclist so i can make fun of roadies all I want.

There's these two kids in my town who are both twins, both unicycle, and also look like mini versions of those two albino henchmen from The Matrix: Reloaded. It's epic.

My son and I have been attending a unicycle club most Sundays for about a year now. He picked it up quick and is learning tricks and playing basketball on the uni now. I'm just getting the hang of it and building my endurance. Tennis courts are a great place to practice. Try to hook up with other riders if you can...it adds to the fun!
