Looking to go into North Gate Canyon next weekend. Then a run on the Encampment section with Damnation ally (V).

Hey Wolf, if you had a smaller boat you wouldn't need that trailer. Heck, you could also run the meat!
Sick!
Everyone up here (in Maine) but me got there first runs in day before yesterday! Hoping to go out for my first next week! Not done riding yet tho.

Just a heads up,

The cool/cold weather has moved out in the Rocky Mountain region. Coupled with the best snowpack in years things are starting to rage. Big South (headwaters of cache la poudre river) is over the guage rock. Thats right, one of the best creeking runs in Colorado is beyond a measurable stage. Get your dancing shoes on. This season is gonna be EPIC!

If anyone is headed this way you better have your poop in a group. The creeks and rivers are raging. Things are getting down right dangerous. Already one death on the Arkansas by a strainer. Women was on a commercial trip and the guide put them in Sidels suck hole. Needless to say they flipped and everyone went swimming. Lots of reports of wood moving around and people getting caught in it. Yard sales are also happening frequently. Check out eddyflower.com and look at the flows in Colorado. I've never seen so much red(crankin) on the page.

Hope everyone is having a good time. Stay safe and boat smart!

I actually just bought a kayak a week ago, has yet to arrive at my doorstep. I'm planning on paddling all summer long and do a couple of 2 or 3 day camping floats.

Went to do a playrun on Wednesday up on the Kennebec in northern Maine.. and decided I didn't want to leave.. so after 4 days of begging Three Rivers Whitewater for a job I start tomorrow! I'm stoked! I'll be rafting the rest of the summer and living out of a tent. Should be a good time.

Snowolf, it appears you have a bit of deadfall in some of those pictures. Do you guys have the pine beetles out there?

Great pics, Snowolf. Sad to report that I didn't make it out on the water once this summer. I didn't make the Gauley trip this year either. At this rate, I may not even make it out on the mountain this "winter"! The season here in WV has been pathetic and not really worth the 3 hour drive to ride. I had planned to only got a few times to save some leave and cash...guess this is making it easier!

Is that your plane?!

Got a pair of 6'6" and 7'0" river kayaks waiting for the spring thaw to be done! They're hopefully going to open up some new features on the Bow River through downtown Calgary this year. Should be fun to be able to go play in some rollers on the way home from work!
