I tried windsurfing first time last week. This is an awesome and hugely underrated sport. Its not as popular as other adrenaline watersports but if you're not into doing things just for the sake of being hip give this a go. The rewards are HUGE!

Windsurfing was much bigger in my parts in the 80's/early 90's, but I don't know why it disappeared. I had a buddy in college who had one on a skate board, and was pretty dam good with it. When it's windy now, the kite surfers are out.
