Dude! That's a pretty gnarly trail & drop off to be getting used to, and dialing in your clip-less's ...(sesses!!!!!) WTF is plural for clip-less?

Be cautious and safe with that man! Looks awesome fun tho!

Not sure I'll ever go clipless. Just not sure it fits my riding style. I come from more of a dirt jumping and dirt bike background and I'm just so used to sticking a foot in the dirt that I'm not sure I'd ever be able to get myself out of the habit.

If your riding trails where you jump a lot, flats are certainly the way to go. Parks, ski area type spots, etc. Going for more of a cross country ride, like say the CT loop at Buff or Kenosha/Georgia pass, clipless makes you life much less painful. I don't care what anyone says, you just climb a hell of a lot better with clipless pedals. It really depends on what you are doing. Positives and negatives to both. I've certainly had some crashes where it would not have happened on flats.

For anyone in the CO area looking...

Trek HiFi Pro 17.5" 29er

If I was still in the market, I'd probably offer this guy $1500 and go pick it up.

I've ridden crank brother flats for a while now. I went to the mallet 2 from crank bros. It is a smaller platform with the egg beater built in. That saved my ass as I could have one clipped in going uphill then have a free foot so I wouldn't fall off the cliff when it got to steep.

I am the opposite of most people I ride with. I'm super comfortable downhill in 99% of terrain and not comfortable at all on singletrack uphill....

Hmm, or wait till octoberish and buy my 2014 18.5 Fuel 29 for $2400... which comes with the original post, a Bonty XXX post, and 2 spare Team Issue XR3's... Oh and working at a shop it gets a full clean and tune every other ride.

Nah that HiFi is a decent find, but yeah, with the brakes and older suspension (major changes in dampening and pro pedal tech in the last year) $1500 is definitely a better offer.

$2400 is definitely too steep for me. Once I'm in the market, $1500 is gonna be about tops for me.

Feds Hunting Mountain Bike Hater

I hope whoever finds this guy has enough restraint to keep themselves from turning and and smacking the asshole with the nail punctured boards. I know I wouldn't.
