I try to fill my summer time with as much wakeboarding as possible. To me wakeboarding and snowboarding are equally fun to me. So anyone else here on the forum wakeboard?
My setup for this year: RONIX VIVIA 140 Board RONIX ONE Bindings Body Glove USCGA life vest Hyperlite line & handle

I wish!
I did a lot of wakeboarding in highschool and college, before I started snowboarding actually, but just don't have the same access to a boat that I once did....oh the days when I had a friend with rich parents that lived on the water with a boat.... I love myself some wakeboarding though. I would be interested to see how snowboarding for years now would influence how I wakeboard. |

I've only tried it once. Would love to try it again. It took me two or three times to learn how to get up, but once I was up, I was good to go. It's similar to snowboarding in some ways. I had trouble at first diving my nose because it's weird being on a board on a flat surface! I'm used to going downhill dammit! It was also a little different having something pulling you instead of relying on gravity plus you have the resistance of the water. Unfortunately, the boat I was behind was a tri-toon, so the wake sucked.

I've been riding about 7 years, love it!! As far as adreniline rush goes I like snowboarding way better, nothing more intense then looking over the lip of a black run and dropping in. I do like the wake lifestyle more though, no crowds of tourist, the lazy days floating around drinking ice cold beer out of the cooler, all the girls in bikini's, much more laid back atmosphere compared to snowboarding. This year I'm riding an '09 Murray, with '08 Murray closed toes, been rocking those bindings for 3 years without a hitch.
