Just got into this past Summer/Fall actually, got into it in kind of late in the season (those bikes are insanely expensive but you need good equipment out here).
I ended up getting a used 2011 Giant Reign 2 from Deer Valley. Overall I love it, finally hit Moab over Halloween (awesome!!!! place kicked my ass though) Did a few days at Deer Valley for lift served downhill as well, so fun. Lots of trail riding around Park City, even down in SLC has some really good stuff. Looking forward to the next season and doing some more trips. The peak of Summmer when it's super hot here I think I am getting a lift pass for Deer Valley downhill and I'm going to get some good protection gear. I never realized how fun MTBing could be until I moved here and finally checked it out. |

I love to do trail riding. Most fun you can ever have exercising. I am looking to grab one of the new Jamis 650b's this spring for my new bike. I have done downhill a handful of times and it is a blast, but I don't want to take out a car loan to buy another bike.

Used to be big into it as a teen, then turned 16 and bought a Jeep.
Actually, it was a really bad crash when I was 15 that pretty much shook me up to the point of leaving it behind. Bit my tongue in half, knocked out some teeth, was knocked out cold for I don't even know how long - crashed during daylight and was awoken after dark by two people I didn't know who were able to help me get back to my campsite. I remember the moment before the crash, getting woken up, getting back to the campsite, and then nothing else until the next day. Put about a 5" crack in my helmet. I probably wouldn't be typing this if I hadn't been wearing it.

I am, all summer...well really from late Spring until early Fall. Started about 3yrs ago, mostly freeriding, but getting to do more and more shuttled and lift-assisted downhill too. Rode a Transition Blindside last year, although thinking of switching it up to something else this season. I wear leg/arm armor, full-face, and goggles...very minimal pedaling lol.
