You join the forum, and you're first two posts link to a heliboarding corporate website. That's pretty much spam. The worst part is you replied in somebody elses thread with something that's totally off topic!

I think you'd have better luck on your friends facebook page than coming to a forum of strangers and expecting us to vote for him for something?!?

righto, calm down. its not for the benefit of the company or to take anything/anyone away from this forum. another contestant posted on the skiing forum and had a really good response, maybe they've got more of a community feel going on

sorry i hurt yours or anyone else's feelings.

No hurt feelings it's just imagine if everyone who entered a contest went on forums asking for votes, etc.? We'd have to wade through all the crap to get to actual posts, which would really detract from the forum itself, and in a competitive world that means people would leave and go to an alternate snowboarding forum. Yeah, I've actually seen spam kill a board before.

Good luck to your buddy! I'm entering contests all the time on facebook for the local resorts...

I would love to try this, give me something to do when nobody will pull me behind the boat wakeboarding! Too bad they are so pricy though... maybe John Lock can build one for me!

Personally I longboard and skateboard in the summer, it might not directly hone your snowboarding skills but it keeps me sideways and having fun. Wakeboarding as well when I can get to the lake but its definately not a daily event.

Sounds like mountain biking would be a good choice if your lacking pavement, been a while since I was into that but its super fun and great for conditioning and excitement.
